Biography

Hrithik was born on 10th January 1974, in Mumbai, India. He started his schooling at the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai, like the other children of his age group he was also fond of playing with the toys and his favorites were the superhero figurines, do it yourself toys and the miniature car models. After growing up a little his interest shifted towards Scrabble, Table Tennis, Badminton and Snooker. He developed a special liking for the music, reading and cycling. While studying here, he developed a special relationship and bond with Sussanne which afterwards culminated to their marriage.

After finishing the school Hrithik went to the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Churchgate, Mumbai, he graduated with first division, by that time he was already made up his mind to make the acting as his profession. He acted in few films as a child artist, which includes the films like Aasha, Deewane and Bhagwan Dada.

When he grown up many people rejected him as a hero, due to his light colored eyes, tall and lanky figure. But he had some definite plans for the purpose; he joined Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting classes quietly without informing his parents.

In other hand he started assisting his father in his projects like Karan-Arjun and Koyla. Where he led the life of a real assistant without having any concessions and amenities of the star son. This made him much tougher mentally and made him clear about the ins and outs of the show business. Stammering was another problem on which he worked patiently.

The physical fitness was also a problem for Hrithik but in that area he got full help and support of Salman Khan who properly guided him to build his muscles and ways to the meal management. Later on Hrithik even helped his father to pen down the story of the film Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Papa roshan gave him the brake in the same film in the year 2000 as a hero. The film became smash hit of the year and Hrithik became the Superstar overnight. His father was attacked and critically wounded by the Bombay mafia after the success of the film. This made Hrithik sentimental and he announced that in future he would never act in a film. However after great persuasion by the fans and the well wishers he agreed to continue his acting career.

Hrithik married his old time heart throb Suzanne in the year 2000 on December 14th in her father’s (Sanjay Kan) resort and spa in the Bangalore City. Now the offers for the roles were pouring for Hrithik, he started grabbing them, many of the films got rejected by the public and the fans, critics started crying foul about him but he remained calm and continued to work silently then came the film Koi Mil Gaya in the year 2003 and once again Hrithik tasted the success, this time he was very careful he picked the films carefully. Next came the film Lakshya in the year 2004, the film was not a hit but nobody could say anything against the acting of Hrithik even his toughest critics ware silenced by his performance. After that there was no turn around for Hrithik yet he is on a spree to produce hit films one after another like Krish and Dhoom-2. Meanwhile he was blessed with a son in the year 2006, who was fondly named Hrehaan Roshan and Roshan’s wife later gave birth to another baby boy, named Hridhaan Roshan on May 1, 2008.
